On monday, the 13.03.2023, the P.R.O.E has officially signed a contract of friendship and cooperation with the Republic of West Who. But who is this new partner nation?
In a historic move, the Republic of West Who and the People's Republic of Edristan have established diplomatic relations, marking a significant shift in the political landscape of the country.
The Republic of West Who is one of the oldest micronations around: Established in 1969, it is even older than Molossia or the Aerican Empire. The Republic of West Who currently has over 440 citizens from more than 25 countries worldwide.
In early march, the first contact was initiated by West Who. After a short discussion within the government of Edristan, it became quite apparent to the ministers that such a partnership would be of great benefit to both nations.
The establishment of diplomatic relations between West Who and Edristan is expected to bring about closer economic ties, greater cultural exchange, and increased cooperation in areas such as postal issues. The move is also expected to pave the way for future negotiations with possible new partner nations.
To celebrate the ocassion, the EPS (Edristani Postal Service) has announced the issue of a commemorative stamp. However, a design and date of issue are yet to be determined.
