You may have been wondering: What is Edristan? What is this whole thing for? We will try our best to explain:
The People's Republic of Edristan (Our wonderful nation) is a tiny self proclaimed state that declared independence from Germany in early 2021, and was founded by Nils Benedict S. to find out what makes a country a country, and to finally give the youth a voice in a nation. It is a bit of a mix of activism, teenagers fooling around and confronting macronational governments with their ridiculousness. Edristan is a democratic socialist state - Every citizen can partake in the half yearly elections, and vote for a political party. One of the goals of Edristan is to be able to establish a council system, or soviet system, consisting of many councils out of which representatives are elected into higher ones.
Edristan is a very small country by macronational standards: Our total territorial claims make up less than one square kilometer of land in total, and consist of various tiny areas located no further to each other than 10 kilometers. It also has citizens in various countries across the globe: All the way from India, to Russia, to the Netherlands.
We are by no means hostile to the country we gained independence from: We like to keep up friendly relations with Germany, and do not see Germany as a hostile or enemy state, we simply want to remain independent.
